The manuscript of the book of Kells was completed in Meath and a perfect copy can be found at the Kells Heritage Centre.

Meath is ideally located in Ireland with a network of major roads connecting it around Ireland and it is just North of the capital city of Dublin. From 2006 visitors have been enjoying 2 new entertainment centres. Meath has 7 miles of coastline stretching between the River Boyne and the River Delvin including Bettystown which is a popular holiday resort and home to large sandy beaches and lots of accommodation and activities.
